Thursday practice round

Book Thursday by June 30th! Your Thursday night stay must be booked directly with the resort this year. DO NOT BOOK Fri/Sat. Make sure you book your room before June 30th or availability cannot be guaranteed.

Yep, you read it right…Garland Resort! After years of trying to bring the Yoot Shoot to Lewiston, we finally negotiated a price that will work for our group…

an unbelievable price for one of Michigan’s finest resorts!

We have put together a package with two fantastic courses including lodging for an astounding price!

COST: $205.00 / person

(Single occupancy add $117.00 – Main Lodge only)

Swampfire’s treachery lies in the water…and lots of it! You’ll have all summer to hone your skills.

2 nights lodging in either of the two options below
- (4) persons (quad occupancy) in the golf cottages
  (Features 2- bedroom/2 bath, full kitchen & living area, Deck w/BBQ located on course fairway)
- (2) persons (double occupancy) in the Main Log Lodge rooms
  (similar to standard hotel room with double beds)

Practice, Who Needs Practice?

For anyone wanting to add a practice round on Thursday, a special golf rate of $20 for Swampfire, Reflections or The Monarch is available by calling Amy Wright at 989-786-1442. (This to be set-up by those individuals directly and IS NOT part of the package above) Thursday night lodging is available at the rate of $53.20 / person in either the Golf Cottages (quad occupancy) or Main Lodge (double occupancy). These rooms must also be booked directly through Amy Wright. (DO NOT book your Friday/Saturday rooms or you will be responsible for them – that will be done as part of your package)

You Don’t Mess With Mother Nature

Again this year, the Yoot Shoot will take place the last weekend of September. September 26th & 27th are the official dates, with an optional practice round on Thursday Sept. 25th. We have decided this year to assign regular tee times for the group, something we haven’t done for many years. However, this will allow us to book later tee-times on BOTH days…something that we all will appreciate on Saturday morning!

You shouldn't mess with Tradition!

Now this does upset the Yoot traditionalists, Bass for one! In fact, the weather was actually nicer the 1st weekend of October in 2007 when the Yoot Shoot is rightfully supposed to be played! There is NO way moving it one week into September 'improves your odds of better weather'. BAH HUM BUG! I do know it makes for little or NO COLOR on the trees which is a huge part of the Yoot tradition. Whine, cry, complain & beotch all you want--------but if you were a REAL YOOT SHOOTER you'd buck up, do a shot, drink another beer and go out on the colorful course rain or shine!
