Friday Course: Tullymore Golf Course

Tullymore Golf Course

Shortly after opening in 2002, Tullymore was named the number one new upscale public course in America by Golf Digest. With that kind of rookie year distinction, it’s easy to see why golfers keep coming back to this challenging course set amongst the pure, raw landscape of the Michigan wilds.

Designed by the highly acclaimed Jim Engh, this par-72 course has also been ranked amongst the top 15 of the 100 Greatest Public & Resort Courses in America by Golf Digest on more than one occasion.

With subtle undulations, the Tullymore course meanders through over 800 acres of woods, meadows, and wetlands. Greens are uniquely varied in both shape and size, and multiple sets of tees allow you to adapt play to your skill level. The course features five par-3 holes and five par-5 holes.

Bucks Run Golf Course - The Award-Winning Course

Bucks Run Golf Club, Michigan’s premier golfing destination, sits on 290 acres in Mt. Pleasant, MI. The award-winning, high-quality golf course features 18 holes spread across natural wetlands, wooded areas, river frontage, and picturesque lakes. The course is abundant with beautifully sculpted tee boxes and fairways, while the sand bunkers and rough prove to be both challenging and fair.

Construction for the new course began in 1999, with designs by famed course architect Jerry Matthews. The course was open for play about a year later, on July 1, 2000. Matthews’ designs transformed what had once been the central mining quarry into Lake Fisher. Nearly two miles of Chippewa River frontage and two additional small lakes highlight several holes on the course. Bucks Run Golf Club has received numerous accolades since its opening—Golf Digest’s Places to Play gave the course 4 ½ out of 5 stars. The course  also ranked in the top 50 for service, course condition, and pace of play. We have hosted four Powerbilt Junior Tour events and three United States Amateur qualifiers.
